David and Vicky Svendsen

The family of David and Vicky Svendsen invites relatives and friends to join them beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Susie's First Chance Saloon in Castalia to celebrate the Svendsens’ 40^th wedding anniversary.

David and Vicky were married Sept. 11, 1976. They have two children and five grandchildren.

Born Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, she weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 22 inches long.

Regina Hoffman of Walker and Ryan Panuska of New Richland, Minn., were united in marriage in a 4 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 10. The outdoor ceremony, officiated by Andy Paul, was held on the Hoffman family farm in Walker.

Regina is the daughter of James “Chip” and Jackie Hoffman of Walker. Ryan is the son of Robert and Sherry Panuska of New Richland, Minn.

Augie Bindert of Hawkeye will celebrate his 80^th birthday as the guest of honor at an open house hosted by his three children, Faron Bindert of Strawberry Point, Rowdy Bindert of Waverly, and Carla Bindert of Alden..

    The celebration will take place from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at the Hawkeye American Legion Hall. Cake, punch and coffee will be served.

Lylah was born at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 inches long at birth.

She joins a very proud big brother Johnny, 5½, at home.
