Elgin's Music in the Park & BBQ this Thursday

Area musician Beau Timmerman will be performing at Music In The Park and BBQ in Elgin, Thursday, July 15.

The Elgin Homecoming Committee, along with the help of the Elgin Fire Department, is hosting the event.

Members of the Elgin Fire Department will be in charge of the BBQ and grilling. The meal deal includes either hamburger/brat or hot dog, with chips, cookie and bottled water for $5.  BBQ serving time will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  

Timmerman will be playing at City Park from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.  

“We are again starting fundraising efforts for our 2024 Elgin Homecoming festivities.  Elgin Homecoming is every five years so we fundraise over that period so the majority of the events held are free to the public during Homecoming. Those events include music Friday/Saturday nights, kids activities, scavenger hunt, All School Reunion, kids tractor pull, and inflatables. The Elgin Fire Department is graciously donating their time to do the grilling for this community event,” Committee member Tammy Moser.

The group will also have a Soup Supper Fundraiser in December.
