William Charles Ohloff, 86, of Castalia, Iowa died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society in Postville, Iowa. William Charles was born June 21, 1932 to Charles and Velma (Schultz) Ohloff in Postville, Iowa. He graduated from Postville High School in 1950.

William was united in marriage with Shirley M. Olson on August 4, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He farmed his entire life. William was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4-H foundation board-Pine Bluff and the Bloomfield Historical Society. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, cutting wood and fishing. William had a love of animals and the outdoors. He greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

William is survived by his five children, Dean (Laurel) Ohloff of Postville, Stephen (Wendy) Ohloff of Dubuque, Daniel Ohloff of Postville, Marlyn (Debra) Ohloff of Cresco and Glen (Kathryn) Ohloff of Castalia; a daughter-in-law, Carmela (John) Hubler of Round Rock, Texas; fourteen grandchildren, Aaron (Stephanie) Ohloff, Seth (Beth) Ohloff, Arica Ohloff, Blake (Stephanie) Ohloff, Matthew (friend, Hanna) Ohloff, Patience (Robert) Kober, Sara (Kevin) Palas, Candice (Matt) Stier, Collin (Mindy) Ohloff, Craig (Chelsea) Ohloff, Jacob Ohloff, Garret Ohloff, Shane (Heather) Fox and Dustin Fox; great-grandchildren, Paige, Dalton, Hannah, Summer, Haley, Brittany, Bobby, Will, Ryker, Jackson, Reed, Claire, Preston, Emily, Mia, Kade, Zoe, Sawyer, Dawson, Bella, Hudson, Jordyn, Jetta and Josie; sister-in-law, Mary Koevenig of Oviedo, Florida; three nieces, Kim Koevenig (friend, Pete) of Daytona, Florida, Julie Smith (Kevin) of Faribault, Minnesota and Tammy Jacque of Tripoli, Iowa,.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley on April 23, 2013; son, Thomas in 1988; parents, Charles and Velma Ohloff; sister, Kathleen Koevenig; brother-in-law Martin Heller, sister-in-law, Carol Heller; brother-in-law, James Koevenig; and a nephew, Kurt Koevenig.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m. Prayer Service on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, Postville, Iowa. There will also be a one hour visitation before services at the church on Friday.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Postville, Iowa with Rev. Lynn Noel as the Officiant.

Burial will follow at Postville Cemetery, Postville, Iowa.
