Bechtold approved as WU police chief

At its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5, the West Union City Council approved Paul Becthold, Nahsua police chief, as the new chief of police for West Union.

Bechtold is a native of Nashua and has served on its police force since graduating from the Iowa Police Academy in May 2002. He was promoted to chief of the Nashua Police Department in 2014.
