The Sixth Annual St. Lucas Fun Days celebration, scheduled for Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, will be held on the grounds of St. Luke Catholic Church in St. Lucas. The theme of the event is “Fun & Games,” with activities appealing to both kids and adults available, as well as music, food, and beverages.

The dedication of the newly constructed Veterans Memorial, located downtown across from the post office, will kick of the festivities at 6 p.m. on Friday. There will also be co-ed softball at 6 p.m., and a 5K run at 7 p.m. (registration for the run is from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.). From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be a sign-up for the KVIK/KNEI Harley giveaway, in which you have an opportunity to win a brand-new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

On Friday evening the Back Home Boys will entertain the crowd from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Also on the schedule for Friday is the crowning of Miss St. Lucas at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m.

On Saturday morning you can enjoy the Firemen’s Breakfast to be held from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for $7 (children age 7 and under, $3.50). Co-ed softball will continue at 9 a.m., along with the beginning of co-ed volleyball. A tractor ride is scheduled for 9 a.m. as well, with registration for the ride to take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

At 11:30 a.m. kids’ games, a bouncy house, and miniature golf will be available until 3 p.m. to provide entertainment for the kids. At noon the Ft. Atkinson Community Band will perform, followed by musician Mike McAbee at 1 p.m. There will also be an 18-and-under beanbag tournament, as well as an open beanbag tournament in the afternoon.

A Tractor Pedal Pull for the kids is scheduled for 3 p.m., and at 6:30 there will be a raffle drawing for cash prizes of $2,500 and $500. Concessions and a beer garden will be open both days and nights to provide food and refreshments.

Make plans now to attend St. Lucas’ Sixth Annual Fun Days event and take part in the “Fun & Games” on June 26-27.
