UPDATE 7 PM - Calmar Bank Robbery

3PM 5/13/15:  Tyrone Wilson was apprehended without incident in Rock Island, IL and is now in the custody of law enforcement officials.  The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their cooperation and assistance with this case.  The Sheriff’s Office and Calmar Police Department would also like to thank the multiple law enforcement agencies who assisted throughout the investigation.   

 

 

 

News Release - UPDATE

Incident Details:

5-12-15 at approximately 10:30am there was a robbery at Security State Bank in Calmar, IA.  The subject got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The subject left the bank on foot from the bank.  No one was injured at the bank and the public is not in any immediate danger.  The investigation is ongoing at this time.

12:26 UPDATE: Security State Bank in Calmar, IA at 102 W Main St. was robbed by a bald black male with gray stubble about 6'01, 180 lbs wearing a black baggy sweatshirt that says Atlanta Falcons and khaki pants. Suspects could possibly be driving a Gold or Black Dually Pickup occupied by 2 black males. Please notify law enforcement if you have any information pertaining to this incident.

2:45 UPDATE: Sheriff Marx would like to reassure the public that we are following up on every lead and working diligently to solve this case.  The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office is receiving assistance from multiple local, state and federal agencies, including the FBI and DCI.

7PM UPDATE: Sheriff Marx would like the public to know there have been two search warrants conducted in connection to the bank robbery and the suspect is still at large. All the agencies involved are working diligently toward a rapid detention.
