Tough teams fill NFV volleyball slate

It was a week featuring some very tough competition for the North Fayette Valley volleyball team.

A solid Starmont club came to town for Parent’s Night on Tuesday. Thursday, it was off to ninth-ranked Turkey Valley, and Saturday’s tournament at Waterloo Columbus is always the toughest one of the year, according to head coach Bruce Ehler.

Parents’ Night came early this year, as the TigerHawks are on the road the rest of the season.

“We were flat,” noted Ehler. The emotions of the last home game and Parents’ Night never allowed us to have a spark.”

NFV lost all three matches, 7-25, 9-25, and 12-25.
