Leonard V. Knipper

Leonard Valentine Knipper’s 80^th birthday is Sunday, Sept. 14, and a celebration is planned.

Leonard’s wife, Grace, their sons and families invite all friends and relatives to come to the shelter at Arlington City Park on Upper Street (southwest off Hwy. 187) in Arlington between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sept. 14 to enjoy a sandwich and some cake with Leonard.

If there’s a slack in the conversation, you can always visit with Leonard about harnessing and hitching up the work horses as a kid to help plow the back 40, or you can just mention the words “John Deere.”

Remember to bring lawn chairs if you wish, but forget the gifts. Just remember to please sign the registry!
