WC track runs at UIC Indoor

The West Central girls’ and boys’ track teams finished the indoor season with the UIC Invite Tuesday, March 25, at Luther College in Decorah.

No team scores were kept at the UIC Indoor and official placement in individual events was not always recorded.

Neither team could bring home a medal, but both squads had good events. Considering that both teams are young (only three seniors between them) and this was only their third meet of the season, the results have to be encouraging to head coaches Randy Fink and Chris Sanford.

James Niemann and Joe Wolfe came closest to medals, finishing fourth in the long jump and high jump, respectively.

The Blue Devils open the outdoor season Friday at North Fayette Valley.
