Ossian Clinic to open March 3

Winneshiek Medical Center is pleased to announce that Rebecca Gesing, ARNP, has accepted the position of nurse practitioner in WMC’s new family medicine and rehabilitation clinic in Ossian.

Gesing will provide full-time family medicine care, and Rebecca Moonen, DPT, and Alyssa Bullerman, PTA, will provide rehabilitation services in the new clinic.

Medical direction for Winneshiek Medical Center is provided by Mayo Clinic Health System.

“I am very excited about helping to fill a need for the Ossian community and being the healthcare provider for this clinic.  I look forward to getting to know individuals and families personally,” said Gesing.

Rebecca “Becky” Gesing received her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Luther College in 1982 and earned her Master of Science from Winona State University as a family nurse practitioner in 1996.  She provided primary care with Gundersen Lutheran in the Prairie du Chien, McGregor and Waukon clinic locations before she joined Winneshiek Medical Center’s Occupational Health program and Urgent Care service in the fall of 2012.

Gesing added, “I love the small-town, homey atmosphere of small community clinics.  They are so much like a family, with staff and with the patients.  Local clinics are important to the towns they serve, and I expect that our new Ossian Clinic will have much the same atmosphere, which is truly great!”

Construction work continues at the downtown Ossian location, and Winneshiek Medical Center officials plan a Monday, March 3, opening of the new clinic.
