The West Central boys’ basketball team swept a pair of home games over the weekend.  Friday, the Blue Devils trounced Ed-Co, 68-32, and on Saturday, Kee fell, 67-58.

Center Ethan Steinbronn started 2014 with a pair of monster games, recording a triple-double both nights.

Saturday, the Devils had to rally from an early hole to pick up their third UIC win. Kee broke to a 24-13 lead by the end of the first quarter, but WC went on an 18-9 run in the second period to trail, 33-31, at halftime.

However, the second half belonged to the Blue Devils, who outscored the visitors, 36-25, over the final 16 minutes.

Steinbronn was impossible to stop at both ends of the court as he recorded a personal-best triple-double, scorching the nets with 36 points, grabbing 21 rebounds and blocking an amazing 16 shots.

Dustin Gordon added nine points and five assists, and Brady Forsyth dropped in eight points, blocked four shots and had three rebounds.
