Torkelson on Luther baseball team
Brandon Torkelson, a 2010 graduate of Valley Community High School, is a member of the Luther College baseball team. He is a junior pitcher for the Norse.
Second-year head coach Alex Smith inherits 19 letterwinners from last year’s squad, which posted a record of 25-20 and finished tied for fourth in the Iowa Conference.
Luther will began play at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, with a double-header against Macalester College at Minneapolis Metrodome.
Brandon is the son of Dirk and Cindy Torkelson of Elgin.
