‘A perfect fit’ for Neutzman

By Zakary Kriener

Several months ago when Calmar Lutheran Church began its search for a new pastor, one of its goals was to find a perfect fit not only for its church members, but also for the entire community. Fittingly, Pastor Anita Neutzman was also looking for a church and community that fit her personality and style.

“Even before I was officially ordained on June 24, I began interviewing at different churches,” said Neutzman, who most recently lived with her husband, Dennis, in Story City. “I wanted a congregation that would be a great match, and I feel that is exactly what I found here in Calmar.”

Neutzman officially began her new role here in Winneshiek County on Aug. 1, which also marks her first time serving as a pastor.
