Football’s back!

The Hawkeyes, Cyclones and Panthers all took the field for the first time this season on Saturday, but for one former West Union resident, the football season got started a little earlier.

University of Northern Iowa senior Tom Miller joined the Buffalo Bills medical staff as an athletic training intern for training camp this summer.

Moss Service Center changes hands

Jim Moss (right) handed over the keys to Moss Service Center to Britt Dyke on Sept. 1. Moss retired after 43 yards in the auto service industry. Don’t expect much to change as Dyke said he will be keeping the name and high quality service to which people have grown accustomed at the West Union car dealership. Chris DeBack photo

For 43 years, Jim Moss has been a staple in the auto service center industry in West Union.

On Sept. 1, that all changed when Moss handed over the keys to Moss Service Center, located at 610 Hwy. 150 South in West Union, to partner Britt Dyke.
